Vijay Hazare

Vijay Samuel Hazare was an Indian great first class cricketer. He was born on 11th March, 1915 in Sangli, Maharashtra. He was right handed batsman and right arm medium bowler. Hazare was played first class matches for his major teams India, Maharashtra, Central India and Baroda. He was played thirty test matches for India during his cricket career.

Hazare made a century in each innings of the test match during India’s first tour in Australia in the year 1974-48. He captained of the Indian test cricket team in fourteen matches. Hazare was an Indian first batsman who scored triple centuries in the first class match. He made the highest score of three hundred fourteen without out that was for Maharashtra and was against Poona in the year 1939-40.
