Gundappa Viswanath
Gundappa Rangnath Viswanath is an Indian former cricketer of national cricket Team. He was born on 12th February, 1949 in Bhadravathi, Karnataka, India.
He was a mainly right handed batsman and fine leg spin bowler. He has played also in the world cup of 1975 etc. He made his one day international debut against England in year 1974.
Viswanath has played ninety one test matches scoring over the six thousand runs containing top scores of two hundred twenty two runs and twenty five one day international matches scoring four hundred thirty nine runs including a top scores of seventy five runs.
He has also played three hundred eight first class matches and took only one wicket in one test match during his cricket career.
Viswanath commonly known by his nickname Vishy and He were great and only batsmen in his era. He had an surprising batting style and his striking shots make the great effect on around wicket fielders and on bowlers.
His favorite square cut shots were brilliance. He made his test debut and along with a century against Australia in year 1969.
