Ghulam Ahmed was an Indian regular first class cricketer who played test matches for Indian national cricket team. He was born on 4th July, 1922 in Hyderabad, India.

He was right handed batsman and primarily well known as a right arm off spin bowler. He was captained of the team India in test cricket matches.Ghulam Ahmed Cricketer

He was an uncle of Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and former Pakistan captain Asif Iqbal. He took retirement and then attended for many years as the secretary of BCCI.

Ahmed represented to India on the international level. He was a great cricketer and leading bowler in his time, and he had a good command over the line and length in bowling.

He captained of Indian National team for three times in which once against New Zealand and twice against West Indies.  He has played twenty two test matches and ninety eight first class matches during his cricket career. He was captained of state in many periods.
