Grate Cricketer Sunil Gavaskar :

Sunil Manohar Gavaskar is a former cricketer and captain of the Indian national cricket team. He was born on 10th July, 1949 in Bombay, Maharashtra. His nickname is Sunny. Gavaskar played cricket throughout almost two decades (1970-1987) for Mumbai and India. He is regarded one of the greatest opening batsmen in test cricket history. He is a right handed batsman and right arm medium bowler. Gavaskar grew up in Mumbai and during education he played for school and during his secondary education his name announced India’s Best Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year in the year 1966 scoring two hundred forty six runs, two hundred twenty two runs and eighty five runs in the school cricket.

Gavaskar married to Marshniel. He called her Pammi and She is the daughter of a leather industrialist in Kanpur. They have a son Rohan, He is playing for Indian Cricket League. Gavaskar was selected in Indian team in the year 1970/71. He made his test premiere against the West Indies in the year 1971 and one day international beginning that was against the England in the year 1974.

His rearmost one day international was against the England in the year 1987. He made his state level entrance in during season 1968/69 against Karnataka. Gavaskar made many records in the cricket in the course of his cricket career. He held records for most runs and most centuries in the international cricket and by only player. Gavaskar held thirty four test centuries and the record of over the ten thousand runs which were broken by Sachin Tendulkar after almost two decades later in the year 2005. His captaincy of the Indian team was almost successful, but he widely regarded for his technique against fast bowling.
