Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Chandidas Ganguly is a former cricketer and captained of the Indian cricket team. He was born on 8 July 1972 in Calcutta (Kolkata), Bengal. He is referred to as a Bengal Tiger and famously known as Sourav Ganguly. He is a left handed batsman and right arm medium pace bowler. Ganguly is a leading scorer of India made eleven thousand runs in one day Internationals.

He made his test appearance against the England in the year 1996 and last test was against Australia in the year 2008. Ganguly has played one hundred thirteen test matches scoring over the seven thousand runs and three hundred eleven one day international matches for India, scoring over the eleven thousand runs. Ganguly was also a hostile batsman of the world cup final in the year 2003. He has also appeared in the two hundred forty two first class matches. His engaging remarkable innings was scoring one hundred thirteen against Shri Lanka, He made perfectly one hundred twenty four, getting Man of the Match in the final of Independence cup at Dhaka that was against Pakistan, and He scored amazingly one hundred eighty three runs against Shri Lanka in the World Cup 1999.
