Shantha Rangaswamy is a former Indian women cricketer. She was born on 1st January, 1954 in Madras, India. She was a right handed bats woman and right arm medium pace bowler. Rangaswamy has played sixteen women’s test cricket matches for India captaining in some test matches. She has played also nineteen women’s one day international cricket matches for India captaining in sixteen matches.
Rangaswamy made seven hundred fifty runs including one century and took twenty one wickets in her all sixteen test matches. She made two hundred eighty seven runs and took twelve wickets. Rangaswamy also recorded her best batting and outstanding bowling performance in one day internationals at Women’s Cricket World Cup that was in New Zealand in the year 1982 where she made her only one day international fifty against New Zealand. She took three wickets giving just twenty five runs against an International XI.
