Purnima Rau

Purnima Rau is an Indian ex cricketer of women’s cricket team. She was born on 30th January, 1967 in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Rau is an all rounder and as a right handed middle order bats woman along with right arm off spin bowler. She has played in five test cricket matches and thirty three one day internationals for India. Rau made her test debut for India Women that was against New Zealand women in the year 1995 and one day international appearance also for same team that was against England’s women in year 1993.

Rau captained of Indian women’s cricket team in eight one day internationals and three test matches. Right now she associated as a coach with development of youth and women’s cricketers in Hyderabad.
